Luxury Living
This new 6,200 square foot home replaces an older one that was too small and in dire need of updating. It provides a single floor of ample living and entertaining space for the owners as well as a private office that allows the owners to work from home. A second floor of guest suites welcomes family and friends when they visit. Taking a design approach to living that creates outdoor spaces that function as extended living spaces we connect indoor and outdoor seamlessly.
Historic Addition
With new first floor "Mother/Daughter" apartment and second floor Master Suite, this 1,880 square foot addition effectively doubled the size of the home. Exercising a delicate touch we were able to enlarge this older home in Ramsey, NJ to meet the needs of a contemporary family without sacrificing the structure's historic character. Capturing elements of the original home but using modern building technology, the addition appears to have always been there.
Family Estate
On over 5 acres of land, this new home with its 4,200 square feet of living space and another 1,500 square feet of porches and decks has generously sized rooms to accommodate the growing family's needs and their things. Included in the project was a new 3 car, detached garage with an apartment.
Home Office
A county road makes for a great location for a doctor's home office, the trick in its design is to make comfortable living quarters and an efficient office layout. Adding a new second floor to existing ranch provided the extra square foot needed for the family in a symmetrical elevation which allowed for the separation and clear delineation of each use. The doctor loves his commute and the patient enjoys the causally professional atmosphere.
Estate Facade
This new 4,300 square foot home was designed for a large extended family. With first floor kitchen, living and dining rooms, second floor bedrooms and family room, and third floor bedrooms, the three new floors of living space provided plenty of room for the family to stretch and retained room for a new income producing apartment on the first floor.
2 Family Living
A two family solution doesn't have to look like 2 houses smacked together. A common front door to a shared foyer and a divided two car garage allows for separation while a street porch for one and balconies for the other offers a shared use of the property without sacrifices privacy.
Doubling Up
When the first floor works but extra space is needed the easiest thing to do is add a second floor, the hard part is doing it so that looks right. This design uses overhangs; flip flopping roof lines and more than just siding for a very nice curb appeal.
Custom Lodge
This family meeting lodge was designed as a destination for the 20 acre property on the coast of a great lake. It has large gathering spaces with a connected tiny house for the owners.
